We Are All Called Upon to Share the Word of God.
Bringing the Word isn’t simply a suggestion:
Jesus said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." Mark 16:15
At first this might seem like a tremendous or even an impossible obligation but actually it is a wonderful blessing.
When you Bring The Word of God you also testify to the love of God and with it the promise of salvation. In doing so God may be calling on you to be the answer to a prayer and perhaps be the turning point in someone's life.
Yes, revealing our lives and confessing our love of God to others is difficult, especially in the "cancel culture" of the world today but know that God does not command what He does not enable.
People will resist and turn away because those who are lost and afraid act and live like they are lost and afraid because they are lost and afraid. They don't know Christ.
It is part of our nature to try to "win people over," "convince," them and "sell" them salvation but the truth is that someone who doesn't know Christ can't be convinced by you no matter how much you try or how much they need it. Only the Holy Spirit can open hearts and minds to reveal the truth. Only through the Holy Spirit will they discover who Jesus is and be freely able to make the choice to accept Him as their Lord and Savior.
Our job is to follow the role given to us by Jesus, that is to be the humble servant, the ever faithful witness, living the Gospel and showing, through our words and our deeds what Christ has done in our lives. That is our testimony and our legacy.
We Have Entered A New Age
Without any doubt technology has moved us into a new age. Now we can share the most intimate details of our lives with nearly everyone, everywhere instantly . Right, wrong, or just plain confused it's all out there for everyone to see. The darkness knows this better than any of us and uses the obscurity and anonymity of the Internet to tempt and divide us.
We live in a powder keg, ready to blowup at the slightest provocation. Set aside criticism, hold your tongue; remember only Jesus has authority to judge.
What Jesus told us over two thousand years ago couldn't be more true today: “ The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy but I come to give life that is full and good. ” John 10:10 .
Now, with the help of many, the darkness has invaded the internet like a cancer.
Don't enable the darkness, don't be the mechanism of sin, instead show the light and love of Christ. Remember, the devil wants to use you to hurt others, and at the same time steal the eternal life of God's love and light that Jesus has promised.
We Are the People Who Are Called By His Name
Without Jesus every area of any life is empty. Worse yet, without Jesus we are ignorant and unaware of all that we are losing. It's time for us act and fill every area of our lives - especially the Internet with the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If we don't, the devil will surely rush in to fill the void. It's time for us to go to work. The potential of the technology that God has blessed us with is is truly incredible. Right here, right now as followers of Jesus we can easily give testimony to many and glorify God despite the barriers of time, distance and language. Show the world that you know and follow our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
